Bath Towels
Bath towels here are sold on their own, in pairs and in sets of 3 or 4. Most standard bath towels measure 30 x 54 inches. The real choice is fibre and weight: heavy Egyptian cotton for the most absorbent towel, Turkish or zero-twist cotton for faster drying, and ribbed, jacquard or rayon from bamboo blends for a lighter, textured towel.
- Egyptian cotton (Madeline, Heritage) — dense, heavyweight pile — Buy for the most absorbent towel.
- Turkish cotton (Hotel Collection, Aria) — long-staple cotton in a lighter towel — Buy for faster drying between uses.
- Zero-twist cotton — loosely twisted yarn, soft from the first use — Buy for softness without the weight.
- Ribbed, jacquard and rayon from bamboo blends — textured or silky — Buy for a lighter, patterned towel.

Most Popular in This Collection
- Madeline Egyptian Cotton Bath Towels, Set of 2 — our best-selling bath towel pair, heavyweight Egyptian cotton at 30 x 54 inches.
- Heritage Egyptian Cotton Bath Towels, Set of 4 — four plush Egyptian cotton bath towels for a shared bathroom.

How to Choose a Bath Towel
Pick the weight first. Heavier towels hold more water and feel denser, but take longer to dry. Madeline and Heritage are the heavyweight lines; zero-twist and ribbed Soho towels dry faster.
Then the fibre. Egyptian cotton is plush and very absorbent. Turkish cotton is lighter and softens over the first washes. In a humid bathroom, a faster-drying towel usually beats the heaviest one.
Towel or sheet? If 30 x 54 inches feels small, bath sheets measure 34 x 68 inches. For matching hand towels and washcloths in one order, see towel sets.

Frequently Asked Questions
What size is a standard bath towel?
Most Superior bath towels measure 30 x 54 inches. The Aria Turkish cotton line runs 28 x 52 inches, and bath sheets are larger at 34 x 68 inches.
What does GSM mean on a bath towel?
GSM is grams per square metre, a measure of pile density. Higher GSM means a heavier, more absorbent towel that takes longer to dry.
Is Egyptian or Turkish cotton better for bath towels?
Neither is better outright. Egyptian cotton is heavier and more absorbent but slower to dry. Turkish cotton is lighter, dries faster and softens with washing.
What is a zero-twist towel?
Zero-twist towels use loosely twisted cotton yarn, leaving more fibre exposed, so they feel soft and light and dry quickly.
Why don't my new towels absorb water?
New towels often carry a finishing residue. Wash them once or twice before use and skip fabric softener, and they will absorb more.
