Doesnx27t look as good after washing
Your opinion of this comforter will probably depend on what specifically is important to you in a bedspread.1. If you want warmth, weight and coziness- this will make you happy. Right out of the package, it felt rough and ' polyester-e' . After washing, it was soft and felt like the heavy weight cotton bedspread I'd expected. Be aware- it will fill up your dryer lint filter to max capacity! It is heavy enough to be a winter-time bedspread.2. If you want a crisp, perfect look, this will drive you nuts! For starters, after washing and drying on cold settings, it comes nowhere near the floor. In fact, it barely covers the box spring and I don't have a super thick mattress on the bed. Next, the trim on the shams does not make perfect little corners as pictured. It tends to flop every which way, since the fabric gets quite soft once laundered. Most problematic, every single wrinkle in the blankets below shows with this comforter. If my cat walks across the bed, her little footprints show as dents. A fiberfill comforter will mask wrinkles and rebound from dents but this, especially in a dark color, shows every single imperfection.Quality wise, the material is nice, but I've got at least one spot where the hem is ripping out after only one wash, and another where there is a visible imperfection in the fabric. If you only care about how your bedspread feels when you crawl in and close your eyes, go ahead and pick this one. Personally, I got this mostly for looks on my guest bed and I'm a bit disappointed.
